Building Skills Through Art, Craft and Community

Creative Savvy is a vibrant, hands‑on learning environment where adults with learning disabilities can explore their creativity while developing practical skills for everyday life. Based in Bagworth, our workshop blends art, craft, and real‑world tasks to help trainees grow in confidence, independence, and personal achievement.

What we do
Each day at Creative Savvy is structured around meaningful, enjoyable activities such as:
-
Crafting and making items for community events and seasonal projects
-
Learning practical skills like measuring, assembling, and using simple tools
-
Creating artwork, decorations, and products for our social‑enterprise stalls
-
Supporting everyday tasks such as cleaning, organising, and preparing materials
-
Working together on group projects that build teamwork and communication

These activities are broken down into clear, manageable steps, ensuring every trainee can participate and succeed at their own pace.

A Supportive Space for Growth

Our team provides patient, personalised support to help each individual feel confident and capable. We focus on:
-
Visual prompts and step‑by‑step guidance
-
Encouragement and positive reinforcement
-
Opportunities to practise new skills regularly
-
A calm, friendly environment where everyone feels valued

This approach helps trainees develop not only creative abilities but also essential life skills such as problem‑solving, planning, and working independently.
